Since 1996, Peralta Hacienda Historical Park has been open to the public and continues to educate on the historical background of Oakland. Their mission is to promote understanding and historical healing in a diverse and changing community. While giving a voice to the many cultures that have created and are still transforming within California. But its most popular focal point is the city and state landmark, the 1870 Italianate Victorian farmhouse, the Peralta House. The community, families and youth are especially welcomed.
