A piece of California’s Gold Rush history comes to the stage in Pacifica. I visited the cast of The Girl of the Golden West as they prepared for their upcoming performances at the Terra Nova Theater. Presented by the Voice Studio of Thomas Clark, the fully staged production features a new English translation by Thomas Clark and stars Jordan Best as Minnie and Xavier Prado as Dick Johnson. The production is conducted from the piano by Italian pianist Umberto Barisciano. After four performances in Pacifica, the production heads to the Colligan Theater in Santa Cruz.
