In the heart of San Rafael, the Canal neighborhood is home to a vibrant immigrant community, with many families originally from Central America and Mexico. Since 1982, Canal Alliance has been part of this community, helping Latino immigrants overcome challenges and create opportunities for themselves and their families. From English classes to immigration legal services, career training, and assistance with basic needs, the organization offers programs to help families become more independent and financially stable. And that’s not all. Canal Alliance also helps young people prepare for college and pursue their dreams.
