The Emeryville Film Festival is back for its second year — and it’s already making a big impact. The one-day event, born from the Rotten City Cultural District, brought six blocks of films and a strong community vibe. From student filmmakers showcasing their work to support from industry artists — including voices from Pixar — the festival highlighted emerging talent like 21-year-old director Parker Viale, who’s already produced 10 short films. Collaborating with fellow creatives on music and sound design, young filmmakers brought projects like Starting Quarterback and Portrait of Fear to life.
