Children’s Musical Theater San Jose has a new Artistic Director — Kikau Alvaro. A San Jose native, Alvaro returns home after years of working abroad. Each year, CMT stages 11 productions, showcasing the talents of young performers from across the region. Keeping everything running smoothly requires a team of 15 staff members — and the support of hundreds of dedicated volunteers. CMT welcomes performers from ages 4 to 20 — and no one is turned away for financial reasons. Gleidson Martins reports.
