The immigration struggle and battle to protect the U.S. border took center stage at the California theater during the Cinequest film festival. Writer/Director J-T Walker said his inspiration for La Gloria came from growing up in a Texas border town and watching an endless stream of suffering immigrants crossing his grandparent’s ranch to reach the promise land.
