Dancing Moons Festival – Giving voice to AAPI community through dance and music

The Oakland Ballet in collaboration with the Oakland Asian Cultural Center premiered 5 new ballets at the Dancing Moons Festival celebrating the works of Asian American choreographers, giving a voice to the AAPI community through dance and music.
Gleidson Martins was born in Brasilia and raised in Araguari, a small town in Minas Gerais state, Brazil. In 2017 Martins founded News UpNOW to produce content that matters to the Bay Area. In 2020 News UpNOW became registered as a non-profit organization.
