Downtown San Jose has been transformed into a holiday village. Plaza de César Chávez is filled with more than 600 Christmas trees, festive displays, and crowds soaking in the season. Organizers say events like this bring major support to the city—generating more than $20 million for business around the area. Across the street, under the circle of palms, more holiday fun. Downtown Ice is expected to welcome 40,000 skaters this season. Just down West San Carlos Street, San Jose Lights is another must-see stop. From Christmas in the Park, it’s a 12-minute walk—easier than fighting traffic and finding parking. The display is open daily from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. through January 4th, featuring more than 200 installations plus 40 stations where visitors can stop for pictures. San Jose continues its holiday tradition, bringing people together through community and celebration.
