Frameline celebrates a major milestone as the iconic LGBTQ+ film festival marks its 50th anniversary. The opening night festivities brought together the festival’s co-founders to reflect on five decades of groundbreaking storytelling, community, and representation. This year’s festival returns to the historic Castro Theatre with more than 132 films from around the world, showcasing the past, present, and future of LGBTQ+ cinema. Opening night featured a special performance by D’Arcy Drollinger as her beloved character Lady Champagne. The celebration continues with a special conversation featuring Colman Domingo. Frameline 50 runs through June 27, bringing audiences together for unforgettable films, conversations, and events.
