Park de los Pobladores was packed with energy Thursday night as hundreds of fans gathered for a CityDance San José watch party featuring live music, dancing, and a big-screen viewing of Mexico’s match against South Korea. Dressed in green jerseys and waving Mexican flags, attendees turned the downtown park into a vibrant celebration of culture and community. Organizers with San José’s Office of Cultural Affairs say the watch parties are designed to unite residents through sports, music, and cultural experiences. The evening featured a lively performance by Banda La Iniciativa and plenty of dancing before fans cheered Mexico to victory. The CityDance and Watch Party series continues Sunday with another themed event, live entertainment, and community festivities.
